Sugaring With Purpose: TRACTION

We are honored to dedicate our next Charity Day on Thursday, September 24th to TRACTION —a phenomenal Pacific Northwest nonprofit doing the life-saving work of cultivating safety, joy, and visibility for transgender and gender-diverse individuals. TRACTION is the absolute star of the show on this day, and their Project Open Arms program provides vital sanctuary, housing assistance, and mutual aid to trans+ refugees fleeing anti-trans persecution and relocation hardships from other states. From deep grassroots advocacy to local community-building, TRACTION ensures our gender-diverse neighbors are not just welcomed, but celebrated right here in Washington.

At Sugar Plum, our mission has always been to provide radical, inclusive, and loving care for EveryBODY, and we are incredibly proud to put those values into direct action alongside this amazing organization. On September 24th, a portion of all service proceeds will be donated directly to TRACTION to help fund their direct aid networks, housing support, and vital resource programs.

Our Impact with Neighborhood House & the Holiday Food Drive

At Sugar Plum, community care is at the heart of everything we do, and thanks to the generosity of our clients and team, we’re proud to share the impact we were able to make through our most recent Charity Day and Holiday Food Drive.

Through Charity Day services, in-studio support, and direct donations, Sugar Plum raised a total of $862.28 in support of Neighborhood House. Every dollar helps Neighborhood House continue providing essential resources, education, and support to individuals and families in our local community.

In addition to our financial contribution, our Holiday Food Drive brought in a meaningful collection of food donations, all of which were delivered to a local food bank to help support families during the holiday season. Every can, bag, and box donated made a real difference, and we were deeply moved by the care and generosity shown by our community.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who participated, donated, booked services, or helped spread the word. Together, we turned everyday self-care into something bigger — tangible support for our neighbors in need.

Thank you for helping us give back in ways that matter. We’re honored to be part of such a thoughtful, compassionate community and look forward to continuing this tradition of care together.
